§ 52 - 1 Regulation of height; nuisances.
No person, firm or corporation owning or occupying any property within Conewago Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania, shall permit any grass or weeds or any vegetation whatsoever, not edible or planted for some useful or ornamental purpose, to grow or remain upon such premises so as to exceed a height of six inches or to throw off any unpleasant or noxious odor or to conceal any filthy deposit or to create or produce pollen. Any grass, weeds or other vegetation growing upon any premises in the Township in violation of any of the provisions of this section is hereby declared to be a nuisance and detrimental to the health, safety, cleanliness and comfort of the inhabitants of the Township.
§ 144 - 2 Storage of vehicles; evidence of abandonment; applicability.
A. Any motor vehicle, when such motor vehicle or vehicle, either by reason of its old and dilapidated, disassembled, non-operable, nonregistered, wrecked, ruined and/or dismantled condition, encompasses flat or lack of tires, the removal of parts from damage by wreck or otherwise, or the failure to be properly inspected, or for any reason whatsoever cannot be self-propelled or moved or operated under its own power upon a public highway within the Township of Conewago, or is incapable of being utilized for its intended purpose, when upon private property, shall be stored within a fully enclosed structure.
B. A motor vehicle which has remained on such private property for a period in excess of 30 days under any of the conditions set forth in this section shall be prima facie evidence of abandonment of the motor vehicle.
C. This chapter shall also include all vehicles subject to licensing and/or registration under the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, all tow-behind trailers and pull-behind campers.
§ 42.5 Open Burning; Regulations and restrictions.
It shall be unlawful for any person to open burn any material, including the following at any time in any zone within the municipality: household trash, books, magazines, newspapers, cardboard and/or any items that are required to be recycled in Conewago Township under Pennsylvania Act 101, including leaf waster, leaves and scrap lumber, or any vegetation, plywood, drywall, plastic products, insulation materials, upholstered furniture, solid waste and/or construction waste as defined by the Pennsylvania Solid Waste Management Act and Pa. Code § 271.1, garbage, dead animals, human and animal excrement, human and animal hair, rubber products or flammable liquids, asphalt or tar shingles or roofing materials, bedding foam rubber, nylon, rayon, cotton, wool, polyester or other synthetic material, insulation from copper or other wiring.
