Recycling Reporting
Business, Commercial, and Community Activities
Conewago Township businesses, commercial entities, institutional and municipal establishments, community activities, and multi-family dwellings of four (4) or more units are required to contract with a recycling service provider and annually report recycling types and amounts to Conewago Township by January 15th of each year.
High-grade office paper, corrugated paper/cardboard, aluminum, and leaf waste, are to be recycled and reported, as well as newspaper, bi-metal cans, clear and colored glass, and PET #1 and HDPE #2 plastics. Any other material, such as ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, other plastics, batteries, antifreeze, oil, fluorescent bulbs/tubes, white goods, radiators, rubber tires, construction and demolition materials, and computer systems should be recycled and reported on your Conewago Township annual recycling report.

Recycling Reports
- Recycling Reports for the prior reporting year are due January 15th of each year
- Include the weight receipt/voucher from your recycling facility/operator which indicates the types and amounts of recyclables in tons.
- Conversion: 1 ton = 2,000 pounds
- Example: 425 pounds of paper = 0.2125 tons
